To warn Karnataka Congress, BJP uses a ‘Game of Thrones’ meme
The Karnataka BJP used a Game of Thrones meme to warn the Congress. The meme showed Ned Stark, the Warden of North with his sword ice mouthing the motto of House Stark, " winter is coming."
The BJP Karnataka's Twitter handle wrote: "PM Shri @narendramodi will be visiting Udupi on May 1st, 2018. He will be first visiting Udupi's Shri Krishna Mutt, and will later address a massive public rally in Udupi. #ModiIsComing"
The Congress, however, hit back by saying," and we all know what happened to Ned Stark."
Modi is set to address several rallies in the poll-bound state from April 29 onwards.
As many as 368 nominations were filed on April 21 for the May 12 Karnataka assembly polls.
Among those who filed the papers were former minister B Sriramulu, a close associate of mining baron G Janardhana Reddy.
Let them field anyone from Badami, I am not worried says Siddaramaiah
He filed his nomination from Molakalmuru in Chitradurga district.
Reddy was present when Sriramulu submitted the papers accompanied by Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP's chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa.
BJP president Amit Shah had recently remarked that his party had no connection with the mining baron, but his confidants have got tickets including brothers G Karunakara and G Somashekhara Reddy.
The filing of nomination was a mighty show of" strength by Sriramulu and his party.
