Its little over half a day that Narendra Modi has been in Karnataka and the Prime Minister is firing a salvo-after salvo at the Congress and Siddaramaiah. Not only has Modi launched a frontal attack on Congress in the poll-bound state, he is also forcing the grand old party to respond. Both parties are sparring even on the social media platforms. Responding to Modi's "2+1" formula jibe, Siddaramaiah reminded the PM that he too contested from 2 parliamentary seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha seats.

Congress' Social Media and Digital Communications head Divya Spandana chose to hit back at Modi by questioning the cost of his attire worn on several occasions in the past. She posted a couple of pictures of Modi at some events in the past and asked: "Who's credit card was used to pay for this Modi ji?"

"@narendramodi ji so fancy! I love the Loro Piana jacket on you! Only 17,000 Euros! Very cheap. Who's credit card was used to pay for this Modi ji?" Divya Spandana, also known as Ramya, wrote on her twitter handle.

Addressing a rally in Chamarajanagar Prime Minister Narendra Modi mocked Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah for his decision to contest from two seats in the 2018 state assembly polls. Siddaramaiah is contesting from Chamundeshwari constituency in Mysuru and also from Badami constituency in Bagalkot district as well. Siddaramaiah's son Yatindra is contesting from Varuna in his first state election.

Modi said Siddaramaiah is not confident of winning and added that the Karnataka CM has made his son a 'scapegoat' by fielding him from his 'old constituency'. Siddaramaiah's son Dr Yatindra is contesting from Varuna seat from where the CM contested and won last time.
