TN varsity to hold mass prayer for Jaya's recovery
Chennai, Oct 5: Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University today said that it will organise a mass prayer of students and teachers here on October 8 for the speedy recovery of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
The state-run varsity said devotional songs and music will be played in the mass prayer, to be held in its premises, for the speedy recovery of the "founder and chancellor of the university, Chief Minister Puratchi Thalaivi Amma (Jayalalithaa)".
Supporters and AIADMK workers continued to offer prayers in several places of worship across the state for Jayalalithaa, who was hospitalised on September 22.
With Amma in hospital, is Sheela Balakrishnan running Tamil Nadu?
Yesterday, Apollo Hospital had said that Jayalalithaa's health condition "continues to improve" and the same line of treatment, including antibiotics and other clinical measures, were being continued.
