TN police surrounds Dinakaran loyalists staying in Coorg resort
Hours after TTV Dinakaran was expelled as AIADMK deputy general secretary, Tamil Nadu police reached Paddington Resort in Karnataka's Kodagu, where Dinakaran faction MLAs are staying.
According to reports, over 200 cops surrounded the resort. Reportedly,13 legislators are staying at the resort.
Dinakaran was expelled by the EPS-OPS faction of AIADMK in today's general council meeting held in Chennai. Dinakaran's aunt VK Sasikala was removed from the post of temporary general secretary.
In a press conference held in Madurai after the resolutions passed by the General Council, Dinakaran said, "Now I will ensure that this Tamil Nadu Government is thrown out of power."
The Sasikala-Dinkaran faction has around 19 legislators -- more than enough to topple the government in an assembly floor test.
