Three kids found dead in water drum at Ghaziabad
Under mysterious circumstances, three children, including a girl were found drowned in a plastic drum at Tulsi Niketan area near Ghaziabad district on Monday evening.
Sahibabad, April 4: Three children, including a girl, were found drowned in a plastic drum under mysterious circumstances on Monday evening at Tulsi Niketan area in Sahibabad near Ghaziabad district.
Based on the information, the police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The police said that they don't suspect any foul play as they did not find any external injury but they believe that the post-mortem report will give them the clear picture on the case.
The deceased identified as Nimai, Azan and Salma. Nimai is said to be one-and-half-year-old, Azan is four-year-old and Salma is five-year-old. Nimai and Azan said to be children of a man identified as Jiyaluddin and Salma is the daughter of Abdul. According to parents, the kids went to a nearby vacant plot to play.
An elderly lady on Monday evening went near the plastic drum and observed that a bucket was placed upside down near the drum. The woman on curiosity peeped in the drum to find three bodies of the kids floating in the drum.
The police said that the kids might have climbed on the drum with the help of bucket and then jumped into the drum. According to sources, the drum capacity was 200 litres and it was half filled at the time of the incident.
