'The viral wink' was a spontaneous act, reveals Priya Prakash Varrier
Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier, who became the nation's crush overnight, has revealed that the viral wink, that got her fame was a spontaneous act.
Speaking exclusively to WION, Priya talked about her debut film 'Oru Adaar Love', the song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi' which made her an overnight star and Bollywood favourites.
Priya said, "Life has changed overnight for me. I am still unsure of how to handle the fame." The teen actress revealed that although she is enjoying her new found fame and her parents are happy yet they want her to continue her studies.
Varrier revealed that she is a fan of Shah Rukh Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Ranveer Singh and she would like to work in Bollywood films. "Why not? If the offer is good I'd love to."
However, the young actress says 'that the wink was spontaneous and she never thought that video clip would become such a hit.'
Actually, the director wanted to capture something cute between me and my hero. So he told me if I can do the eyebrow thing and wink at him. I told him that I could give it a try. That's how it worked out. It was spontaneous and we hadn't planned anything."
On being called the nation's new crush, Priya said, "I am very happy and excited. So many people falling in love and all that, it's new but I'm very happy."
Meanwhile, police on Tuesday registered a case against the director Omar Lulu over a complaint that the lyrics of a song in "Oru Adaar Love" hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims.
