Radicalisation followed by cybercrime are two major worries for the security agencies. With both these crimes rising rapidly, the Government has put in place a system to check the menace.

The government has set up the Counter Radicalisation and Cyber and Information Security to ensure that such crimes are prevented. The job of the Counter Radicalisation Wing would be to devise strategies in quick time.

A watch is always being kept on online activities where radicalisation is concerned. The wing would devise a quick strategy so that the agencies can work in quick time to de-radicalise the person in question.

The wing would also be involved in analysing and assessing the reach of global terrorist organisations such as the Islamic State and al-Qaeda which rely heavily on the internet for radicalisation and recruitment.

The second wing would monitor cyber frauds and cases of hacking. The wing would also analyse and suggests ways for the agencies to fight the menace.
