'Tejashwi cannot lead the party like Lalu Yadav', says Ashok Sinha who quit RJD
Tejashwi was handed over the reins of the party after Lalu was convicted in second and third fodder scam cases.
Cracks have begun to appear in the RJD days after former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was jailed in connection with the fodder scam case. RJD general secretary Ashok Sinha on Tuesday resigned from his post and quit the party.
He said that the RJD had become irrelevant and that Lalu's son Tejashwi Yadav was not capable of leading the party.
"RJD has become irrelevant in today's times, better to leave party respectfully than to waste time here. Tejashwi Yadav cannot lead the party like Lalu Ji did," Sinha told news agency ANI.
Tejashwi was handed over the reins of the party after Lalu was convicted in second and third fodder scam cases. Lalu Yadav is staring at a cummulative jail term of 13.5 years in the three cases of fodder scam.
Biggest challenge for Tejashwi is to handle the inernal rift conflictrs within the party. There are apprehensions that Tejashwi may not be able to hold the flock together as he does not have same stature within the party as his father.
