Techie gets death for conspiring murder of lover's infant and mother-in-law
Thiruvananthapuram, April 18: In a shocking incident in Thiruvananthapuram, the Principal Session's court awarded capital punishment to Nino Mathew, who was held for murdering his lover's mother-in-law and infant child on April 16, 2014.
Judge V. Shircey also sentenced Anshumathi, Nino's colleague and paramour to life sentence and imposed a fine of Rs 50 lakh each as fine. The court handed down the sentence after considering the prosecution's contention that the case fell in the 'rarest of rare' category.

saying
that
the
duo
had
conspired
the
crime,
with
Anshumathi's
help
who
passed
on
information
to
him
regarding
the
daily
routine
of
the
household.
Anshumathi
also
helped
him
identify
the
escape
routes
after
committing
the
crime.
Before killing the mother-in-law, Nino forced her to call her son and Anshumathi's husband Lijeesh home. Lijeesh is an assistant engineer with the KSEB Limited. Nino hid behind the door and tried to hack him to death too, but was unsuccessful. Lijeesh became the prime witness to the crime.
