TCS techie raped, murdered: Guilty to be hanged till death

Mumbai, Oct 30: A year after her brutal death, Esther Anuhya finally received justice. The convict of her rape and murder case has been given capital punishment.

It has been declared that Chandrabhan Sanap will be hanged till death. A court in Mumbai declared the announcement on Friday, Oct 30.

Death Sentence

23-year-old Esther, a resident of Andhra Pradesh, was a TCS employee. She had gone missing after arriving at the LTT railway station in Mumbai from her hometown Jan 5, 2014. Her decomposed body was found in Kanjurmarg in Vikhroli Jan 16.

Investigating officers collected one CCTV footage from the railway station and nabbed the culprit, who was a taxi driver.

In the CCTV footage, Esther was seen talking over a mobile phone while walking out at 5.10 am. The driver, in white shirt and jeans, was seen carrying her luggage.

Police searched for the culprit for 45 days and finally cracked the case after arresting him.
