New Delhi, June 6: Comedian Tanmay Bhat's purported video in which he allegedly mocked veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar had evoked a sharp reaction from political parties as well as the supporters of these two celebs.

The comedian reportedly posted the video on May 26 on Facebook titled "Sachin vs Lata Civil War" and cracked apparently not-so-funny jokes about both these legends.

Titled "Sachin v/s Lata Civil War", Tanmay is seen taking jibes at the 86-year-old melody queen and the cricketing legend, 43.

Some of the punchlines used against Mangeshkar in the video include Jon Snow also died, so should you, Your face looks like someone has kept you in water for eight days.

After everyone has reacted on the issue, now Lata Mangeshkar has also broken her silence.

In an interview with DNA, the ‘Nightingale of India' said, "Log bahot pareshan ho gaye. Mujhe yeh bura laga. I don't like the idea of people getting hassled because of me. I want to assure all my well-wishers that these (spoofs, etc) are very small matters. There are far greater issues in life. We must not give undue importance to those who thrive on maligning people. I am sure they have their reasons for doing what they do."

Reportedly, Mangeshkar hasn't watched the video yet because she doesn't get affected by petty things.

The Shiv Sena and BJP on Monday demanded action against AIB and comedian Tanmay Bhat for a video in which he allegedly mocked singing legend Lata Mangeshkar and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

The Sena asked Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take stringent action against AIB and Bhat for allegedly seeking to vitiate social harmony through videos on Mangeshkar and Tendulkar.

Sena leader Neelam Gorhe has written to Fadnavis seeking action against those behind the video which she alleged was made by people with "deranged mentality".
