'There is a hue of saffron in Rajnikanth's politics', says Kamal Haasan
Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan who is US, has ended the speculation over his alliance with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, and said that his alliance with the Rajini is unlikely as of now.
While speaking at Harvard University, Haasan said,''Alliance with Rajinikanth is unlikely as of now. He further said that,''I hope Rajinikanth's politics is not saffron.''
Earlier on Feb 8, Haasan had said,''Our ideologies should match, if ally to happen.''
Haasan would start touring Tamil Nadu, beginning with his hometown of Ramanathapuram, on February 21. Kamal had also said that he would reveal the name of his party on the same day. He calls this tour a "journey of discovery" during which he will attempt to "understand people's needs and aspirations".
He has appealed to the people to support his political journey, saying, "Join hands with me to empower our country and the state."
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth, who announced his political entry, set tongues wagging on after hinting that he is not against a political alliance with actor Kamal Hassan. When reporters asked if an alliance with Kamal was possible, Rajinikanth had said, "Only time will answer this question."
Superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan both have already taken plunge into politics.
