New Delhi, July 4: Paying tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his death anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday termed him an enduring source of inspiration. Modi expressed his feeling to this great son of soil on the social website.

"I bow to Swami Vivekananda on his Nirvan Diwas. He is an enduring source of inspiration whose thoughts influenced several people globally", PM tweeted.
Tagged as Hindu monk, Vivekananda was born as Narendra Nath Datta on January 1863. He was chief disciple of the 19th-century saint Ramakrishna. Swamy who died on July 4, 1902 is credicted with introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world.
He is also known for bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century.
