Student of class two raped in Delhi school, NHRC sends notice to Chief Secretary
New Delhi, Aug 10: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to the Chief Secretary, Delhi government and the Commissioner of Police in connection sexual assault on class two student. The Commission has sought for a detailed report within four weeks.
A class two student of a New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) school in the upscale Gole Market area in New Delhi was allegedly raped by an electrician in the institute's premises. The girl was leaving school on Wednesday when the accused, Ram Asre (37) allegedly took her to a pump room in the school premises and forced himself on her, police told PTI.
He also threatened the girl with dire consequences if she told anyone about it, the police said.
DCP, New Delhi, said, "She identified him&he was arrested. He was working in the school since last 1.5-2 months. He's being interrogated. Investigation underway. Spot, where the incident took place, had no CCTV camera."
