State-wide bandh called in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh, Aug 2: After Andhra Pradesh was refused to be given the special status by the Centre, TDP and its opoosition staged protests inside and outside the Parliament in New Delhi yesterday.
In fact, the protests have gone a step further as YSR party today declared a state-wide bandh.
Launching a fresh attack on the TDP-NDA alliance, Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "One of the poll planks of BJP and TDP was to provide special category status to Andhra Pradesh. In fact they even went one step ahead and declared in their manifesto that the state will get 10 years of special category status instead of five. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his speech in Tirupathi, also spoke on the same issue."
