Stalker set woman and her family on fire: woman succumbs to injuries, family critical
The incident happened at Adambakkam AGS Colony, in Saraswathi Nagar, between 8.45pm and 9pm on Monday night.
In a shocking incident, a stalker set a girl and her family on fire in Chennai's Adambakkam area.
The girl, who was followed by the stalker for over a month, succumbed to injuries. The girl's mother and sister were also injured in the incident.
The incident happened at Adambakkam AGS Colony, in Saraswathi Nagar, between 8.45 pm and 9 pm on Monday night.
The accused, Aakash, absconded right after but was caught on Tuesday morning.
As per The News Minute, Aakash, who lives in the neighbourhood, landed up outside Indhuja's residence on Monday night. Indhuja and her family were initially reluctant to open the door, but Aakash persisted, claiming he only wanted to speak to Indhuja for a few minutes.
The victim, an engineering graduate, was reportedly working in a company for the last few months. However, she hasn't been going to work for the last one month, allegedly because of Aakash's stalking.
Dean of the hospital, said,"Mother has 49 per cent burns, daughter has 23 per cent burns. They are very critical and are in ICU. If they need ventilator support, it is ready. We are providing them with all medical facilities. We will be able to predict their survival only after 48 hours."
