Srinagar: Poor visibility leads to flight cancellations
Fog dampens air traffic in Srinagar.
Srinagar, Nov 21: Poor visibility has affected the traffic at the Srinagar Airport for the fifth consecutive day.
Sharad Kumar, Director, Airports Authority of India (AII), Srinagar Airport, said, "No flight operations took place today as the visibility was very poor."
Kumar confirmed that the visibility at the runway was only 600 meters, leading to the cancellations. While flights were cancelled since Thursday, only two flights landed at the airport on Saturday. Sunday too saw no traffic.
