Srinagar attack: Since few years situation has deteriorated in J&K, says Ghulam Nabi Azad
Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday said that since few years situation in Jammu and Kashmir has been deteriorated.
Speaking in Rajya Sabha on the Srinagar hospital attack, Azad said,''Why was a terrorist taken to a general hospital, he should have been taken to an army hospital? I request govt to be careful in future.''
''Since last few years situation has deteriorated in J&K. Yesterday's JK Hospital Attack was very sad,'' Congress leader further said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists staged a daring attack outside a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital to free a Pakistani terrorist from custody, killing a policeman and critically injuring another.
Naveed Jutt, the LeT terrorist from Pakistan who was caught in Kulgam in south Kashmir in 2014, managed to escape with the assailants. The ultras opened fire on the police party accompanying Jutt, alias Abu Hanzala, outside the hospital in Kaka Sarai area of the city.
