Sri Sri Ravi Shankar meets Maulana Nadvi, says 'there is cooperation from Muslim community'
Art of Living (AOL) founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Thursday met Maulana Salman Nadwi in Lucknow. After the meeting, Ravi Shankar said that both he and Nadwi discussed on the Ram Temple issue and stressed on 'harmonious co-existence of both communities'.
Maulana Salman Nadvi was 'expelled' from the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on February 11 after he spoke about constructing an Islamic university at the disputed site and a mosque at some other place. The decision to expel Nadvi was taken during the third day of the AIMPLB's plenary session.
"Have been getting good responses from every side, we are talking about harmonious co-existence of both communities and construction of grand Ram Temple. There is a lot of goodwill & cooperation from Muslim community," Sri Sri Ravi Shankar told media on Thursday after meeting Nadvi.

On February 9, the apex body of Muslims in India rejected a proposal by Maulana Salman Nadwi who reportedly supports the construction of Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya, ruling out any compromise on Babri Masjid. After AIMPLB's executive meeting in Hyderabad, it announced that there is no change in the Board's stand that Babri Masjid is a mosque and when a mosque is constructed at a place, it remains a mosque till the final judgement that is ''qayamat".
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been negotiating the Ram Mandir issues with various stakeholders from both Muslim and Hindu society. In the past few months, Sri Sri met with more than 500 prominent members of Muslim community.
