Sonu Nigam banned for supporting Kumar Vishwas; #IStandWithSonuNigam trends on Twitter


New Delhi, April 29: Singer Sonu Nigam has said that he has been banned by a media channel. As per reports, the singer was banned for supporting AAP leader Kumar Vishwas.

Sonu Nigam shared a video on Twitter and urged people to learn the "truth" behind Kumar Vishwas' "alleged" comment on farmer Gajendra Singh's suicide.

Attaching a YouTube clip titled, "ZEE News Exposed "LATAK GAYA" Voiceover", Sonu Nigam tweeted and said, "I am far from politics but I feel this truth should come out for the sake of my poet friend Kumar Vishwas."

Later Sonu Tweeted and said, "So now Zee announces a ban on me. :) What do I say.. God bless everyone."

He followed it up with a series of tweets:

Soon after Sonu tweeted about the ban, the hashtag #IStandWithSonuNigam started trending on twitter as the Twitter world came in support of the renowned playback singer.

As per ABP report, "now Zee Music will not buy any music with ‘Sonu Nigam songs' as they have put a ban on him."
