Solar Eclipse 2018 today: Time, location and where to see it

A partial solar eclipse will occur today, February 15. It would be visible in certain parts of the hemisphere.
This can be seen over Antarctica, southern parts of the Atlantic ocean and southern South America. India would however not be able to see the solar eclipse that would take place tomorrow and also the one on August 11, 2018.
In a partial solar eclipse, the moon, Earth and Sun are not exactly lined up, but some part of the moon does cast a shadow on the sun's surface. In a total solar eclipse, the moon block's the sunlight from reaching planet Earth and it goes dark for the minute or so when this phenomenon takes place.
Solar eclipse 2018: Where is it visible:
The February 15 partial solar eclipse can be completely witnessed from Antarctica, east of Antarctic Peninsula. Scientists close to the South Pole will be able to witness it. Those in the south of Rio Gallegos and in Falkland Islands too would be able to witness the Solar Eclipse February 15, 2018.
The countries from where the partial solar eclipse can be seen are Argentina and Chile, along with the southernmost parts of Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil. According to the reports, this partial solar eclipse will be visible for close to 2 hours, with the event expected to start at 5.43 pm local time in the Antarctic peninsula, and end by 7.34 pm.
One must take precautions while view a solar eclipse.You should choose a pinhole camera to catch this event, while those capturing images and video must consider solar filters for their devices.
The year will see two more partial solar eclipses which are expected for July 13 and August 11 respectively.
