"Shivakumar, you will regret for Congress-JDS alliance," says Yeddyurappa
Opposition leader BS Yeddyurappa warned Congress leader DK Shivakumar that the Vokkaliga strongman would regret the decision to form the coalition government with the JDS. Throughout the speech, Yeddyurappa targeted JDS supremo HD Dev Gowda and his son CM HD Kumaraswamy for forming a coalition government with the Congress.
In between his furious speech, Yeddyurappa called Congress leader DK Shivakumar a 'villain' for holding the Congress MLAs intact during the political turbulence in the state.
Shivakumar objected to Yeddyurappa's statement, saying the senior BJP leader should not use such derogatory words. DK Shivakumar stated that he followed party's instructions to hold the MLAs intact.
He further said that everyone knows what happened to Zameer Ahmed and Cheluvarayaswamy in JDS. "I was saddened to see the way former chief minister Sidaramaiah was ignored by HD Kumaraswamy and HD Deve Gowda during swearing-in ceremony."
"Likewise, DK Shivakumar will be sidelined in the party, only time will tell," he said.
Also, BSY recalled his bitter experience with the JDS party while he was Deputy CM in BJP-JDS coalition government in 2006.
He said, "I know very well HD Kumaraswamy. I didn't raise a single question during our coalition government. But after 20 months while transferring power, both father and son imposed new conditions."
"I apologize to people of the state for this blunder JDS-BJP coalition," he said.
