The separatists have remained adamant and even issued a calendar of protests ahead of the all party delegation visit. The separatists have stuck to just one demand and that is Azadi for Kashmir.

The calendar of protests issued by the separatists has led to widespread violence especially in South Kashmir. In Shopian district protestors set fire to the mini secretariat that houses the office of the Deputy Commissioner.

Violence broke out when the police had tried to stop two freedom rallies. Nearly 100 persons were injured in the protests. Protests were witnessed in Sadoora village of Anantnag. Several angry protestors also created trouble at the Vessu village on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
