Separatist Geelani's son ready to appear before NIA, but wants to claim travel allowance
The NIA immediately sent out a fresh summons. This time it was through the university.
Kashmir separatist S A S Geelani's son had an interesting peculiar request. Naseem Geelani wrote to the National Investigation Agency to summon him directly through his department in a university so that he could claim travel allowance.
The NIA is probing several cases relating to terror funding in Kashmir. The agency has blamed the the separatists of being hand in glove with agents in Pakistan to fuel both unrest and terror in the Valley.
The NIA had summoned Naeem and Naseem, both Geelani's son in connection with the probe. While Naeem had dodged summons by saying that he was unwell, his brother Naseem had this peculiar request to make.

Naseem had assured the NIA that he would turn up in person. He was however upset that he was told to appear before the agency directly and not through his university. He told the NIA in a letter that if he was summoned through the agency, then could claim his travel and dearness allowance.
