SC planning to introduce digital filing in district courts
New Delhi, July 30: The Supreme Court is planning to introduce digital filing of cases in all districts of the country to ensure that the justice delivery system reaches all.
According to the Times of India report, the apex court is working on a pan-India programme which will be launched soon. The plans were shared with the top judges who had assembled in New Delhi to deliberate upon the rising pending cases.
If implemented litigants living in remote areas won't have to go to the (District) Court to file a case.
The Supreme Court judges stressed on the need to appoint retired judges on an ad-hoc basis to deal with pending cases.
