Protocol loop:

An officer in the Gurgaon police say that they cannot proceed unless there is an official nod from the Ministry for External Affairs. Currently the diplomat is in the Embassy and the police have no jurisdiction.

The police, however, say that they have sent a report to the MEA which also includes medical evidence. The two women were subject to a second round of medical test before the report was submitted to the MEA. The police say that both the reports suggest that the women were sexually assaulted.

The Saudi official have lodged a protest against the action by the police. They say that the police were intrusive and this is no way to treat a diplomat while also adding that the case was false. An MEA official said that the police were unaware that the person in question was a diplomat. They had just registered a complaint after the two ladies had alleged rape.

Meanwhile the police are also looking for other persons believed to be involved in this crime. The women had alleged that they had been tricked by a recruitment agency. The women had yesterday alleged torture by the diplomat and also accused him of repeatedly raping them.
