Salman Khan acquitted in 2002 hit-and-run case: Twitterati question high court's verdict
Mumbai, Dec 10: The Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has now become a "Free Bird" today (Thursday, Dec 10).
All charges against the actor in connection with infamous 2002 hit-and-run case have been dropped by the Bombay High Court which has delivered its final verdict today.
Quashing all the charges against the actor, the Bombay high court on Wednesday said it has "come to conclusion that the prosecution has failed to bring material on record to establish beyond reasonable doubt that the appellant (Salman Khan) was driving and under the influence of alcohol, also, whether the accident occurred due to bursting (of tyre) prior to the incident or tyre burst after the incident ..."
No sooner than the news of Salman Khan's verdict broke, social media was flooded with reaction with some supporting the actor while most others were seen criticising the court's judgement.
