New Delhi, Feb 3: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has admitted that the ‘BJP is not in comfortable position' in the election-bound Delhi.

In its mouthpiece on Tuesday, the RSS said that the BJP has declared former IPS officer Kiran Bedi as its Chief Ministerial candidate after receiving negative response from the field against its Delhi unit.

The article, written by the magazine's Delhi Bureau, said that there was resentment in the BJP's Delhi unit after the central leadership decided to induct Bedi and made her the CM candidate. But the party recovered, says an Indian Express report.

"Despite having resentment among a section within the state unit after Bedi was named as CM nominee, the campaigning has taken to a top gear in the BJP and the party leadership has recalibrated its poll strategy," the article was quoted in the report.

The article also claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party has reclaimed its lost ground in the city. It said the AAP has rejuvenated its cadres.

"...The AAP through its constant field work and anti-establishment rhetoric has managed to reclaim a large portion of its lost ground. After facing a heavy loss in the General Election, and also in the recent Delhi Cantonment Board polls a large number of volunteers and some prominent members left AAP. But now the party been able rejuvenate its cadre, which has made its strong presence up to the booth level."

The article also said that Kejriwal's decision to quit the CM post led to an erosion of the Aam Aadmi Party's "popularity amongst the middle class that voted (it) to power, as the voters felt cheated".
