Romeo-free campaign: Gurgaon police detain 100
Gurgaon, Sept 29: In an attempt to bring down the rising number of eve-teasing incidents and crime against women, in the millennium city, Gurgaon police on Saturday, Sept 26, detained at least 100 people including 21 bar girls, as part of a 'Romeo free campaign'.
To execute their plan, 10 women and 10 men police officials posed in civil dress outside malls. Around 10 pm, they started the covert campaign, that went on for four hours, India Today reported.
Detained people were booked under 107/151 of the CrPC act, at Sector 29 police station. Later, they were released with a stern warning.
Most of them were caught outside from Sahara Mall and MGF Metropolitan Mall.
