RK Nagar bypoll: NOTA defeats BJP, this is how Twitter reacted
Twitteratis have come out with funny and sarcastic memes to show poor show of BJP candidate, state secretary Karu Nagarajan, is trailing NOTA.
As Tamil Nadu was closely watching the counting of votes in the RK Nagar by-election, twitteratis have noticed what common people might have missed to observe. In the land of Dravidian politics, the national party BJP has put up the worst performance as against None of the above (NOTA) votes.
Twitteratis have come out with funny and sarcastic memes to show poor show of BJP candidate, state secretary Karu Nagarajan, who was trailing NOTA. At the end of fourth round also NOTA was ahead of BJP by 537 votes. NOTA polled 737 votes and BJP 220. TTV Dinakaran has taken the massive lead as against ADMK and DMK.
Nagarajan, a regular face in Tamil TV channels who puts forth his party's views on various issues, had unsuccessfully contested the 2016 Assembly polls from Mylapore constituency in Chennai.
Dinakaran won the by-election for the Radhakrishnan Nagar (R.K.Nagar) constituency, defeating his nearest rival, E. Madhusudhanan of the AIADMK by a margin of over 40,000 votes. Dinakaran polled 72,518 votes and AIADMK's Madhusudhanan got 39,029 votes. DMK candidate N.Marudhu Ganesh has got 20,493 votes.
At the end of final round of counting NOTA got 2373 votes and BJP 1417 votes.
