The Mortal remains of Captain Kapil Kundu, who was killed in heavy Pakistani shelling along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district yesterday, arrived at Delhi's Palam airport on Monday evening.

The young Army Captain was among the four Army personnel who were killed after Pakistani troops initiated unprovoked firing and shelling in Rajouri district's Bhimber Gali sector last evening.

Captain Kundu, who grew up in Ransika village in Haryana's Gururgram district, was killed six days short of his 23rd birthday. Only a few days ago, he'd written to his sisters, informing them that he would be coming home to celebrate his birthday with his family. Slain army officer's mother asked the government to conduct a second surgical strike on Pakistan to avenge the deaths of martyrs.

Indian forces say there have been over 130 instances of ceasefire violations by Pakistan last month, the highest since 2014.

The martyrdom of the soldiers will not go in vain, the Indian Army has said. The ceasefire violations have been at an all time and these are signs of Pakistan getting desperate, officials say. In 2017, there were 860 ceasefire violations while 271 were reported in 2016.

A report of the Intelligence Bureau suggests that the ceasefire violations would go up. There are desperate attempts that are being made to aid infiltrations. The violations are only aimed at aiding infiltrations and providing cover fire. There has been no provocation of any sort from the Indian side for Pakistan to retaliate the note states.

Sunday's incident too was an account of an infiltration bid. The BSF had foiled an infiltration bid at the Samba district on Thursday. The ceasefire violation was in retaliationtoThursday's incident. This clearly shows the desperation by Pakistan. It was only two weeks back that the Central IB had decoded a message from Pakistan. It was learnt that Pakistan had devised atwo prongedstrategy.

A meeting in Rawalpindi, Pakistan discussed the strategy at great length in which it was decided to enhance infiltrations into the Valley. It was also decided that the Pakistan Army would provide cover fire to the terrorists infiltrating into the Valley.
