On the day when entire contry commomerate Kargil Vijay Diwas, members of the Martyrs' Family Welfare Foundation were in for a shock to see Rezang La war memorial in a vandalised condition in Gurugram's Palam Vihar.
According to ANI reports, Rezang La war memorial was vandalized by miscreants on Tuesday.
Bulbs, floodlights, stone benches and electrical wires, have been damaged by miscreants.

The foundation has complained to the Haryana director general of police, CM Window, Gurgaon police commissioner and several officials of the state and Union governments demanding strict action against the culprits.
"The fact that the vandalism happened just a day before the Kargil anniversary proves this is not a coincidence, but a planned conspiracy. The incident has hurt the sentiments of the family of the martyrs who gave their lives, as well as supporters of the armed forces," Times of India quoted Major S N Yadav (retired), general secretary of the foundation, as saying.
What is the battle of Rezang La?
If Ladakh is a part of this country today, it is because of the Veer Ahirs who fought to the 'last man, last round' at Rezang La (Chushul) on November 18, 1962. Around 114 soldiers of the 13th Kumaon battalion, sacrificed their lives during the battle of Rezang La against Chinese soldiers in 1962.
