There were a total of 23 tableaus in the Republic Day parade 2018, out of which 14 represented different states and Union Territories. This year, for the first time, a tableau of All India Radio (AIR) led a series of 23 tableaus during the Parade.
Colourful tableux on display
While Assam tableau reflects the traditional masks of the Satras, that of Kerala -the God's own country -- depicts Kettukazcha, an offering of devotees associated with the temple festivals and farming community.
Karnataka tableux
The Karnataka tableau at RepublicDay parade depicted the state's wildlife.
India's rich cultural heritage
Maharashtra tableau depicts the coronation of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhattisgarh tableau showcases Ramgarh's ancient amphitheatre.
Akashwani tableau
The Tableau of Akashvani showcases the historic journey of more than eight decades of public service.
Jammu and Kashmir tableau
The tableau for Himachal Pradesh depicting the Buddhism influence in the state's Lahaul-Spiti region. Jammu and Kashmir's tableau showcased state's traditions and culture.
