Reports of suitcase bomb as nine injured in train explosion in Madhya Pradesh
There has been an explosion on the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train at Madhya Pradesh. At least 9 persons have been injured in the incident. The incident offured in the 59320 Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train in Madhya Pradesh's Shajapur area on Tuesday. The incident took place at 9.50 am near the Jabdi station.

Preliminary investigations suggest that there was gunpowder odour. madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh said that all angles are being investigated. Passengers said that there was a suitcase which exploded and fire followed which triggered the panic. Ralway police Superintendent of Police, Indore, Krishna Veni said that after initial reports of a short circuit, claims of a suitcase bomb were also received.

Several teams of railway officials, the Intelligence Bureau and Anti Terrorism Squad have left for the site. The incident comes in the wake of several agencies probing sabotage angles in train accidents that have taken place across the country.
