Rao to be made permanent Governor of Tamil Nadu
BJP national president Amit Shah has already prepared a list of Governors.
Vidyasagar Rao is likely to be made the permanent Governor of Tamil Nadu. A decision to this effect is expected after August 11 when the Cabinet reshuffle is likely to take place.
Rao currently is the Governor of both Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. BJP sources say that instead of finding a fresh face for Tamil Nadu, it would give Rao full charge of the state.
In addition to this, the government would also make appointments to 7 other states.
Changes are expected to be effected in the states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, BJP sources say. The BJP is also likely to effect a change in Telangana.
