Ramleela to make a comeback in Ayodhya, Yogi Adityanath issues orders
The traditional Ramleela that was stopped in Ayodhya several years ago will make a comeback this Dussehra. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to restart Ramleela in Ayodhya and Raaslila in Mathura. An official press release from the government also claimed that directions had been issued to conduct the 'Bhajan Sandhya' programme in Chitrakoot.
The directives were passed on Wednesday during a presentation by the religious endowment department in Lucknow. Raaslila performances depicting the life of Lord Krishna in the form of dance will also be restarted and carried out in a traditional manner according to the statement.
Yogi Adityanath apart from asking officials to lay four-lane approach roads to famous temples, is said to have also reiterated on the need to introduce digital payments in temples. A proposal has been made to introduce e-puja, e-donations and online booking systems for Kashi Vishwanath, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and Sindhu Yatra within 15 days.
