Raje attends yagna at Tanot temple, seeks blessings for armed

Jaisalmer, Oct 6: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today attended a special yagna performed at the famous Tanot Mata temple near here that was held to seek blessings and strength for the armed forces in the wake of tension between India and Pakistan.

'Rastra Raksha Yagya' was performed by 21 priests organised by Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy in the premises of the temple close to the Indo-Pak border. Raje, who was accompanied by the state Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria reached Jaisalmer from Udaipur.

She will attend a meeting of the chief ministers of the states sharing borders with Pakistan which will be chaired by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh tomorrow. The border states meeting will be held to review security arrangements along the Indo-Pak border in the wake of surgical strikes by India on terror launch pads across LoC recently.

"Rastra Raksha Yagya and other rituals including reciting of Durga Saptashati were performed to seek blessings for the strength and energy of our jawans," Jaya Dave, Chairperson of the Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy said.
