Rajasthan: Rescued from flood-hit area, woman delivers baby girl
Four women and two men were rescued on Sunday from the Peevpura village, inundated following incessant rains.
Jaipur, Jul 31: A woman, who was rescued by the Army from a flood-hit area in the Jalore district, gave birth to a baby girl on Monday.

"One of the women was pregnant and she was admitted to a private hospital in Sanchore where she delivered a baby girl," Sanwa Ram, sarpanch of Shivpura gram panchayat, told PTI.
After rescuing her, the Army shifted the woman and and her family members safely to a place nearly 7 km from her house in a boat, he said.
Normal life in the district has been badly affected for over a week due to heavy downpour.

The Army has been rushed in to assist in rescue and relief operations.
In Jalore, two columns of the Army are deployed in the rescue and relief operations following the floods.
As many as 1,500 food packets, 2,000 packed drinking water bottles, medical supplies for both civilians and animals, and lifesaving jackets were distributed to the stranded Sanchore.
