Rajasthan: 5-year-old boy dies after being rescued from 30-feet deep borewell
The successful rescue operation to save five-year-old Aman, who fell into a borewell in Savai Madhopur's Malarna Dungar in Rajasthan, finally proved 'useless', as the child succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Wednesday.
Aman was rescued from the borewell after an overnight operation. He was in a critical condition when brought out from the borewell. Aman fell into a 30-feet deep borewell.
It is believed that Aman who was playing with friends at some distance from his house, slipped into the borewell. As soon as Aman slipped and fell into the borewell, other children started crying. Few women who were passing by saw the children and alerted villagers who then informed nearby police station.
The personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response, Fire Services Department, the police, and earth moving machines were all pressed into service.
