Rajasthan govt appeals against Salman Khan verdict in arms act case
Salman Khan and several other actors were accused of poaching blackbucks on the midnight of October 1-2, 1998 during the filming of Hindi movie 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.
Rajasthan government on Tuesday filed an appeal against Bollywood actor Salman Khan against acquittal in arms act case. The appeal has been filed in the Jodhpur district and sessions court.
Salman Khan, who was acquitted in an Arms Act case by chief judicial court in Jodhpur, is facing three other cases relating to alleged poaching of chinkaras and blackbucks during the shooting of Hindi film "Hum Saath Saath Hain" in 1998 in Jodhpur.
On Jan 18, Khan was acquitted by a Jodhpur court in an Arms Act case linked to the killing of a blackbuck 19 years ago.
The prosecution witnesses have already recorded their statements in the court. The accused in the case, including Khan, will record their statements in the 1998 case.
