Rajasthan: 81 infant deaths reported in last 51 days at Banswara hospital
In another tragedy, at least 81 infants have died in the last 51 days in Rajasthan's Mahatma Gandhi Chikitsalay. As per media reports, the infants died in hospital due to malnutrition, many undergoing treatment.
Over 81 newborn deaths occured at Mahatma Gandhi Chikitsalay have occurred in the past 51 days. A probe is underway, reports ANI.

The hospital Chief Medical and Health Officer has said that they are going through each and every case along with my team. Will be able to say anything on the matter only after that has been done.
Meanwhile, the development comes in the backdrop of two such tragedies from Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP)-ruled state of Uttar Pradesh and Jharkand.
Over 60 children died within a week amid the alleged reports of disruption in oxygen supply in BRD hospital in Gorakhpur.
While at least 52 infants have died in 30 days in Jharkhand government-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Jamshedpur.
