Rajasthan: 7-month-old baby raped by 19-year-old neighbour in Alwar
In yet another shocking incident, a 19-year-old man has been arrested for raping a seven-month-old girl at a village in Alwar's Laxmangarh area on Wednesday evening, police said.
It is learnt that the accused took the baby from her house around 7.30 in the evening when the infant's mother was busy somewhere else. The woman also cannot see properly. He then took the infant to a school playground nearby and raped her.
The baby was found lying shrieking in pain and covered in blood by some children playing there.
The child is presently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Alwar. According to the doctors, she is out of danger and may be discharg ed soon.Her father works as a labourer. Police said the matter is being investigated.
Considering the heinousness of the crime, Alwar SP Rahul Prakash directed Additional SP (Rural) Mool Singh Rana and Laxmangarh Circle Officer Sanjana Saini to pursue the case, following which the accused was apprehended "with the help of locals," police said.
Meanwhile, a case has been booked under Sections 363, 366a, 376 of IPC and also under POCSO Act. He will be presented in court on Friday.
