Raj govt working for overall development: Guv Kalyan Singh
Jaipur, Aug 15: Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh today lauded the Vasundhara Raje government, saying it is working for the overall development of the state and has formulated new policies for this purpose.
In his speech on the 70th Independence Day, he said the government took steps to attract investment and strengthened infrastructure, introduced policies on MSME, start-ups, e-governance, tourism, agriculture marketing promotion and biotechnology among others.
"Efforts are on to materialize proposed investments worth Rs 3.38 crore through 470 MoUs signed under the Resurgent Rajasthan Summit-2015," he said.
Employment opportunities were provided to more than nine lakh youths through skill development and government recruitment programmes, he said.
"Under the government-run 'Nyay Apke Dwar' campaign, 48.46 lakh revenue cases were disposed off. Under Bhamashah scheme, 1.24 crore of 4.44 crore families were enrolled till August 11," he said.
In Ajmer, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje unfurled the Tricolour and inspected a parade at Patel Stadium amid tight security.
