Providential escape to Oommen Chandy after his car falls into drain in Kerala
Kozhikode, Feb 28: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy escaped unhurt after his car skid and fell into a drain in Ettumanoor near Kottayam at 2.30 am on Sunday, Feb 28. However, his gun man suffered minor injuries.
Chandy was returning to his home town Puthuppally in the district, after attending President Pranab Mukerjee's event at Kozhikode on Saturday, Feb 27.
Chandy was sleeping when this incident occurred and he did not suffered any injuries, while his security personnel who was sitting in front of the car suffered injuries and was being treated by the doctors at his resident according to media reports.
Chandy after reaching home informed media " He was wearing seat belt that's why he escaped unhurt."
Chandy was on his way to constituency to meet the locals and to listen the grievances according to report by the official.
