Revealed: What is PM Narendra Modi's New Year resolution in 2016?

New Delhi, Jan 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will cut-short his foreign visits plan in new year, 2016. Reportedly, Modi who often criticised for splurging too much public money on foreign tours, will travel only if it is quite necessary. The move is being seen as New Year's resolution of Prime Minister.

It is being said that Prime Minister will only go out of the country to attend crucial summits. Sources say that Modi has directed External Affair Ministry to keep his 2016 foreign tour plan to minimum. As of now only two foreign tour has been scheduled in the first half of the 2016.

PM Modi's New Year resolution

It is being said that Prime Minister who has been termed as 'NRI PM' by the Opposition for his extensive foreign tour, will now focus more on domestic issues and upcoming Budget Session of the Parliament.

After taking reins in his hand in May 2014, Modi has visited total 33 countries. During this 19-month period, PM met about two-third of world leaders.

Congress has been attacking Modi for his extensive foreign tour. Party said that Modi pays least attention to domestic issue.

Party's spokesman Randeep Surjewala recently said, "What is the outcome of PM trips abroad? Over Rs 200 crore of public money have been spent on the PM's trip abroad, what is the result of these visits".
