Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav may be expelled from AAP
New Delhi, Mar 27: The dissent in Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has deepened with sources close to party say that the founder members Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav may be shown the door from the party.
The gloves came off in the ugly face-off between warring AAP factions after talks between the two sides failed in the party's National Council (NC) meeting on Thursday, Mar 28.
The meeting which continued late till Thursday midnight, was the last big effort from the other faction to arrive at a common ground on a number of contentious issues, including the role of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Decks were cleared for ouster of seniors from the National Executive, but the recent development has taken everybody by surprise.

Responding to media query, senior party leader Ashish Khetan said that Yadav and Bhushan have quit the party's national executive as they were adamant on dethroning party convenor Arvind Kejriwal from his post.
"From last 10-12 days we are discussing, the dialogue had started on Kejriwal's initiative. Yogendra Yadav say something in public and something else here in meeting," Khetan said.
On AAP internal rift, he said, "some want to make Arvind weak. We won't allow that"
Sources say that Arvind Kejriwal in the meeting said, "I can fight with Gadkari, Modi and Rahul Gandhi but not Bhushan and Yadav."
The National Council (NC) meeting on Saturday, Mar 28 will decide the future of Yadav and Bhushan in the party.
