Pramod Muthalik to contest next year's Lok Sabha elections

Hubli, Nov 9: After facing a lull,

is back and this time he means some serious business. Mentor of the infamous Sriram Sene, Muthalik announced that he would contest elections from Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency in the Lok Sabha elections next year.

In a report carried out in the DNA [read here], Muthalik's posters along with Modi's pictures are seen across the region. The posters declare: "Modi for the nation, Muthalik for the state."

Muthalik, in the May elections tried to contest on a BJP ticket, but his plans could not take off.

Muthalik told DNA that Modi was the only leader in the nation who could project interests of people in the current scenario.

"Not only myself, even Yeddyurappa, who quit BJP and opposed the same in recent Assembly elections, is now soft towards the party because of Modi," he said.

Speaking on his strained relationships with the BJP he said: "As they ignored my requests, now I have stopped knocking the door of the BJP and decided to show my popularity. No doubt, I will win the battle," he said.
