Google Oneindia News

The news that the chartered flights meant to fly the Congress-JD(S) MLAs out of the HAL airport was denied permission is fake. The MLAs who are jumping resorts to keep their flock together had alleged that the Director General of Civil Aviation had sent out an unofficial word to the airport to ground the planes.

Jayant Sinha

The Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha has dubbed this news as fake. He said that domestic charter flights do not require DGCA approval. They are required to get their flight plan approved by the Air Traffic Control and then are free to fly. We will get a detailed report and provide the facts, Sinha also said.

The Congress says that it had to take its MLAs out of the Eagleton Resort in Bidadi after the Karnataka government withdrew security cover. The MLAs would now be lodged in Kochi and 100 rooms were booked for this purpose at the Crowne Plaza and Brunton Boatyard.
