Patna, March 31: The National Investigating Agency has collected details about the low intensity blast that took place in an apartment at Patna on Monday, March 30.

The NIA had sought details as the bombs that were found at the apartment are similar to the ones that were used at the Hunkar rally and also during the Bodhgaya blasts. [Bombs recovered in Patna: 4 members escape]

While the Bihar police say that it looks like the handiwork of some criminals, they have not ruled out a terror angle to it too.

Investigations are still on

The Bihar police has with it CCTV footage which shows four persons leaving the building. The questioning of the inmates have revealed some details but nothing concrete has emerged out of it as yet.

For the time being the Bihar police is looking into the case and the NIA may chip in if the need be. An NIA official informed that they have just asked for details. The bombs that were found bear resemblance to what was found during the Hunkar and Bodhgaya blasts.

However the picture will become clear once the forensic report is out, the NIA official also informed.

Nation wide manhunt

Meanwhile the NIA is all set to coordinate between the police of Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka to launch a manhunt for the five SIMI operatives who have gone missing ever since they broke out of the Khandwa jail in Madhya Pradesh in October 2013.

As per the information available the SIMI operatives are moving in one batch of four. One of the members was injured while preparing a bomb at Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh last year and he has been out of the picture.
