Panneerselvam on Sasikala’s resort ‘jail’: 4 'goons' guarding each AIADMK MLA
According to O Panneerselvam, the AIADMK MLAs are being forcefully kept in a resort by Sasikala Natarajan.
Chennai, Feb 13: As Tamil Nadu's political potboiler is refusing to die anytime soon, caretaker Chief Minister O Panneerselvam made some shocking revelations against All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam interim general secretary Sasikala Natarajan on Sunday.
Panneerselvam told reporters that four goondas are guarding each AIADMK MLA in a resort located in the outskirts of Chennai under the instruction of Sasikala. More than 120 AIADMK MLAs, supporting Sasikala to become the next CM of the state, are currently lodged at Golden Bay Resorts near Mahabalipuram.
However,
Panneerselvam
says
that
the
MLAs
are
being
forcefully
kept
in
the
resort.
"Even
today,
a
few
of
the
MLAs
contacted
me.
They
told
me
that
there
are
four
goondas
guarding
each
MLA.
They
are
surrounded
and
tortured.
They
cannot
get
out," he
said
while
addressing
reporters
at
his
residence.
On Sunday, Sasikala presented the MLAs in a press conference and claimed that they were free. "Instead of shedding crocodile tears and claiming that they are free, she should let them go back to their homes," Panneerselvam accused.
Both Panneerselvam and Sasikala are claiming their stake to the CM's post in TN. However, till now majority of the MLAs of the ruling party are maintaining that they support Sasikala to be the next CM after Panneerselvam resigned recently. According to media reports, currently 129 MLAs are backing Sasikala and six Panneerselvam.
However, 10 Parliamentarians are supporting Panneerselvam camp. The caretaker CM claims that more MLAs will join his camp in the coming days.
